GTA 6 FAQ
When is GTA 6 coming out? Sometime in 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No exact date has been announced yet.
Will it release on PC? No PC release date yet, but likely in the future, possibly 18-24 months after console launch.
Where is GTA 6 set? In a fictional state called Leonida, centered around Vice City. Leonida is Rockstar’s version of Florida.
Who are the main characters? Lucia and an unnamed male partner. They appear to be romantic partners and criminal collaborators.
Will GTA Online return? Details are scarce, but GTA Online is expected to be part of GTA 6 in some form.
How big is the map? It may be the largest GTA map ever, encompassing multiple cities, beaches, swamps, and rural areas throughout Leonida.
What platforms will GTA 6 be on? Initially PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. PC version likely to follow later. No plans for PS4 or Xbox One.
Will I be able to transfer my GTA Online character? This hasn’t been confirmed. Given the different setting and likely fresh start, transfers seem unlikely.
Is this the last GTA game? No reason to think so! If GTA 6 is successful (and it will be), Rockstar will surely continue the franchise.
Can I play GTA 6 on PS4? No, GTA 6 is built exclusively for next-generation hardware and won’t run on PS4 or Xbox One.
What rating will GTA 6 have? Expect a Mature rating (17+) as with previous GTA games due to violence, language, and adult themes.
Will there be single-player DLC? Unknown at this time. GTA 5 never received the single-player DLC that was originally planned, but GTA 6 might be different.
